Job Description:
We are looking for a Civil Engineer with knowledge and experience in construction as he will be responsible for supervising and coordinating projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, safety and compliance with deadlines. You must have a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, leadership to guide the team, and autonomy to be able to solve challenging problems and make decisions assertively.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Civil Engineer are:

  • Plan and manage construction projects, including the preparation of detailed budgets and schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the construction team, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure work compliance with high levels of quality and following safety standards and regulations.
  • Solve technical problems and challenges during the construction process.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, contractors and other professionals to ensure effective communication and compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform feasibility analysis and feasibility studies for new projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advances in civil engineering and apply them effectively at work.
  • Make necessary procurement for the project, including managing suppliers and contracts, negotiating terms and conditions, and ensuring contractual commitments are met.
  • Evaluate and manage changes to the project's scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring that proper approval and change control processes are followed.
  • Provide technical assistance in projects and management of daily operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master in Civil Engineering preferably. If you do not have a baccalaureate, at least 5 years of previous experience in the role or in similar positions is required.
  • Excellent assertive communication, time management and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety and health standards.
  • Experience in the management of construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles and ability to apply them in problem solving.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Apps and other programs to generate reports and management of inventio.
  • Knowledge of structural design and analysis software is a plus.
  • Professional engineering license will be considered an advantage.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Transportation

In summary:

  • Trips during working hours in your vehicle to attend company matters can be submitted for mileage reimbursement.
  • In case you are assigned to work at a location more than 40 miles from your town of residence, additional compensation will apply to travel time.
  • A weekly transportation stipend may apply instead of the above at the Company's discretion.

There may be productivity bonuses, or incentives to be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis.

  • Once you have been working for 2 weeks, you can request salary advances.
